Getting your amateur radio license requires taking a 35 question exam from the FCC. It’s a lot easier than it sounds.

• Study for the exam with one of these books. You can probably find them at your local library.
  • The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual.
  • Technician Class Radio License Preparation by Gordon West
• Or join us for one of our 8-week ham radio classes.
  • Our calendar lists upcoming classes.
  • The news section of the site lists other clubs in the area that hold exams from time to time.
• Practice the exam. There are plenty of resources online where you can take a practice exam for free. Here’s one example.

• When you’re ready to take the exam come to one of our exam sessions.
